A message from our
Director of Social Events
Hey friends! My name is Salma Setia and I am incredibly excited to get social as the 2024 Director of Social Events for the USC Helenes.
Joining the Helenes as a freshman, Helenes very quickly became my home away from home and so, I am very honored to give back my Helenes love to the family that has given so much to me.. Much of what Helenes embodies includes being inclusive, passionate about what we stand for, and enthusiastic about USC and our community.
Our social events have the special capability to contribute to the glue that holds the Helenes together: the bonds we form with each other. Experiencing the connection and love of the Helenes community has shown me what genuine kindness & welcome is and I am very happy to get the chance to create the environments that foster these family ties. The people, without a doubt, make this organization and the strong relationships we share are my personal favorite part of being a Helene.
It is during these events that we see our Family pillar in action and it is amazing to see how it plays its role in creating spaces for our other pillars to flourish as well. Whether it be a farmer’s market meet up, enjoying dinner on a warm night in the village, or socializing within and outside of our organization at our many mixers and events, Helenes social events cater to everyone! A message from our
Director of Communications
Hi everyone! My name is Liv Bohler, and I am extremely excited to be serving as the 2023 Director of Communications!
As Director of Communications focuses on internal correspondence and organizational aspects of Helenes, including bi-weekly emails to all of our members, keeping track of member status and credit requirements, and — my favorite part — hosting our beloved Wednesday meetings! Our weekly meetings are the highlight of my week where I have the chance to get together with the Helenes members and enjoy snacks at the monthly dessert meetings. Overall, my role is to ensure that all members stay connected and informed about all the happenings in our organization!
In Helenes, I am always inspired by intelligent, supportive, and empowered individuals who have become more than just lifelong friends, but my forever family. This organization is driven by our close-knit community as our Family Pillar is a core value that we prioritize. This family is ever so important to me, and I am honored to be a part of this organization that has done so much for me.
