United We Stand, Divided We Fall

A message from our
Director of Social Events
Hi! My name is Leire Lizarralde, and I’m beyond excited to serve as the 2026 Director of Social Events for the USC Helenes.
Joining Helenes in my second semester of sophomore year was one of the best experiences I could have wished for, allowing me to join a family of welcoming members and build some of the most important friendships I’ve made at USC. I am truly honored to have been given the opportunity to give back to this organization as Director of Social Events, and I look forward to creating spaces that further facilitate connection and community development.
Within our organization, the Family Pillar plays a vital role in strengthening the bonds that connect Helenes together. Whether it’s through weekly gatherings or long-standing traditions, our social events help support our Spirit, DEI, and Service pillars, as well as play a key role in connecting fellow Helenes. From early Denny’s runs and hangouts at our bench to intersectionality potlucks, there is space for everyone to find their place at Helenes!
If you would like to know more about our social events or have any other questions, please do not hesitate to get in touch!
Helenes love and all of mine,
Leire Lizarralde (she/her)

A message from our
Director of Communications
Hi everyone! My name is Jenna Weiss, and I’m so excited to serve as the 2026 Director of Communications.
Joining Helenes during the fall semester of my sophomore year was one of the most rewarding decisions I’ve ever made! From the very beginning, I felt welcomed into an incredible community that truly feels like family, and I’m so grateful for the countless lasting friendships I’ve made through this organization.
As the Director of Communications, I manage our internal communication and organization. This includes sending weekly emails to members, leading our Wednesday meetings, and coordinating special dessert meetings!
At the heart of the organization is our Family Pillar. It’s what makes Helenes a safe space where everyone feels valued and supported. Helenes has given me people who celebrate my successes, lift me up during difficult times, and remind me that I’m never alone.
Being part of an organization that prioritizes inclusivity and connection is so meaningful to me, and it’s what makes Helenes not just a student organization, but a community, a family, and a home that I’m so proud to be part of.
Helenes love and all of mine,
Jenna Weiss (she/her)
